4th of July Issues

So on the 4th of July in the A.M., my boss said he'd be taking the day off but he'd still be around the office. I told him he needs a day off because he's stressed. I told him to go enjoy his day off.

First thing, like clock work.........I come into the office and there he is. I knew he might be at the office, he said he most likely would be--- but he's not really working. I'm ok with that.

But............

first thing when I walk into the office, he's bitching me out about something. I told him, "shhhhhh......its the 4th of july.....please- happy 4th of July"...........

He said, "no I'm not going to shhhh ....... you need to do what you're told". On and on.

So evidently my boss is taking a day off, BUT that does not mean he's taking a day off from bitching.

He told me if i had things to do off site today, I could do them. We're only supposed to be working a half day anyhow.

Well Im going to take our work phone and take off probably...... I'm not sticking around to be my boss's whipping boy on a national holiday. That bastard.

If he is rude to me one more time today I'm just going to ask him, "you live for conflict......do you ever get tired of bitching or....do you get a charge from it?"
