Yes, I'm the all purpose, tyrant, insensitive, criticizing, micro-managing asshole BOSS. Since this site is called 'BossBitching.com' I thought I would bitch a little. This is exactly why you employees feel we are so assholes, you don't even know how to title a website correctly. It should be called 'employeesbitching.com', since you are all employees and you are the one's crying and complaining about your terrible boss.
If the webmaster keeps my post, it would suit him well to create a section for us bosses so we can tell about all the nightmares we have to deal with and all the clueless, stupid, un-educated employees we deal with day to day.
Here's a hint to all employees:
Do you honestly think your boss is out for your best interest? He's out for his own career! How many thousands of websites and books have been written over this and I see the same bitching on this site. If you have the stones to actually be in charge of your career and life, then don't rely on anyone, not even your parents, to get you where you want to go. Wait around for a 10% raise? a week vacation, whatever; its absolutely ridiculous and the only person who put you in that situation is yourself.
So, there you go. At least one post that fits the domain name. idiots.
The boss is bitching at bossbitching. That posts shows why a site like this is required. It’s not about all bosses but about bosses like you. You are an arse!
Bosses may be dicks at times, others complete idiots same goes for the staff. Its just a different kind of shit per level. Staff gets shit from bosses, and bosses get shit from owners if not directors or the like. The bigger the corporation the more worthless you become. If you can’t handle the pressure then don’t work, be a bum. But thats worse aint it because you’d be the asshole to your family. If your boss is an ass and you can’t take it, leave and get your chances rolling. Not everyone is as bitchy as the first post. Some just less, but everyone bitches about everything. Everyone is despensable even the owners.

Bosses seem to specialize in Ass Kissing the next higher boss. I have seen this over and over through the years. That is what they really excell at -the political AKissing that is needed to become boss, as well BS boss speak.
Bosses who are jerks think no one thinks that of them—ha ha the joke is on the jerk. One time a customer of mine came to our location for a plant tour. My manager came out and introduced himself as my boss. My customer, who was a bit of a friend, was standing behind him and said to me ” what a snake!!, keep him away from me…”. Ha ha ha haha! That was a funny scene and put el stupido in his place for a day.
Although the boss may sound kind of like a prick, I must say that I have to agree – there are way too many dumbass employees out there. But there are also plenty of dumbass bosses. The worst is when you have a dumbass who doesn’t realize that s/he is a dumbass, and is an asshole on top of being incompetent.
If you’re smart and honnest, you can’t be a boss…

To follow your logic, “Yard Mowing” would mean the yard was doing the mowing, and “Auto Driving” would hint that the auto was engaged in driving (something). Perhaps you should step down from that high horse, and realize that maybe it is people like you that are the inspiration for sites such as these.
This post has to be from a low level supervisor who has no conception of being a leader. Being a real leader has to do with getting the most out of people each day “motivating, understanding and listening”. Did you know you are approximately six-inches away from success? That is the distance from your right ear to your left ear, listen to what people have to say, understand why they are saying it, get people to work for you and not against you.

There is one thing I agree with. There should be another section for stupid employees. As bad as bosses are, there are more stupid employees than bosses. Probably because there are more employees in general.

Working for a living means you are subject to whims and wills of others regardless of their dispositions, wether they are bosses, co-workers or subordinates. Working for yourself can actually be better or worse, you are far more dependent on others. But, for those who hold others’ livelihood\careers in their control, there is an unwritten obligation to be fair and even handed or suffer the consequences wether it is an employee(s) cursing and wishing the worse upon you or worse. My former employers spend a lot of time looking over their shoulders, wondering if suddenly they will here their name called out and then… I have no concern\ill-will with them at all. But, their wickedness rules their lives and they know they took on a very resourceful individual. My point; don’t manufacture enemies, don’t take people for granted. Work is for getting a job done and earning a paycheck!

I must say I am in agreement with the person that rose from the mail room to CEO. I worked for a major corporation for 20 years. I started there in the cleaning department and rose to a corporate management postition. During my rise I never lost the trust or support of any of my colleagues or true friends along the way. In my 20 years I had good, bad and intorable bosses. The one thing I have witnessed over and over is that the bosses who actually lead by example and treat their employees with dignity and respect, who listen and even learn from the people who work under them, reach the top and stay on top a lot longer than the tyrant micro managers who steal everyone elses thunder and spend most of their time thinking and scheming about how stupid or inept everyone else is. I don’t agree that there are a lot more stupid employees than bosses out there! I think the playing field is pretty even there! The other thing I have witnessed repeatedly is that a persons actions good or bad, and the way they conduct themself always catches up with them. Arrogance such as the that of the person who made this post is never rewarded for very long. As the old saying goes, you reap what you sew!

If your employees are slugs, you need to revisit your hiring practices. The old adage, “you get what you pay for” applies to employees too ya know! If you pay substandard, you get substandard. If you’re lucky enough to actually get a good employee for a job that pays substandard, treat them like crap, then you wonder why they complain?
It’s called boss bitching because people are bitching about their bosses. I would say the “idiot” is the one who has such a poor grasp on the English language, they can’t even figure out the meaning of words put together in certain phrases. Go back to school.
I am a General Manager, I have worked my way up from the bottom to the GM position. It sucks to have people stab you in your back on a daily basis. They lie, cheat and steal. Sometimes you can offer them the moon, it will not be enough, they will continue to back stab you… It is the nature of the beast. After 12 years you learn to take it in stride.. Why are we at war with IRAQ, we can’t even work together… I think everyone could use a refresher course on kindness.

I agree that the human race has a problem in general with getting on together and people like the original poster here don’t realise that by stabbing others in the back,being nasty, ruthless and generally hampering the survival of others on their way to the top they don;t realise that they are missing Survival Rule Number 1. This Rule is one that the majority of the animal kingdom figured out eons ago – by hampering the survival of others YOU HAMPER YOUR OWN!!!!!!! Yet by cooperating with others and assisting their survival guess what – YOU ASSIST YOUR OWN!! No living thing on this planet wants to die or fail – from human being to microbe. Yet we humans seem to be the only living thing on this planet continually demonstrating through our ruthlessness to others and lack of cooperation (inc animlas and planet in general) that actually we don’t mind dying or failing!! Do we still view ourselves as the superior species here people? The “stewards” of the planet? Chuckle chuckle! COOPERATION is the way forward, not teh senseless I’m alright Jack, ruthless attitude demonstrated by the bozo on this thread. Eventually that person will fail, they will fail to survive because they are ignoring the right of others to succeed and to survive and eventually others will see that….........!!!! In the animal kingdom, such a person would be kicked out of the herd, probably maimed, possibly even killed because they are a danger to the rest, to the majority. No-one wants a selfish ruthless insensitive a$*hole in their pack in the animal kingdom – teamplaying and cooperation are the order of the day because that way everybody has a better chance of NOT DYING!

Bosses such as yourself need to learn that there are a great many skilled, educated, bright employees out there, when utilized correctly, will propel you farther than and faster than micromanaging and credit stealing. So what, are we all just supposed to go into business for ourselves?

I have a boss that is like a dictator. She never gives credit to anyone. I go into work each day expecting to have to fight for what I believe in. My boss and I don’t agree on anything. We are at opposite sides of every discussion. She brings out the worst in me and I’ve let her. It’s too hard to fight everyday for everything I believe in. I’ve become a different person since she came to work at our business. She’s just plain mean, spitful and things she’s a know it all. As much as I will say she’s smart, she’s a very mean person. I’m at the down side of my career, but I want to hold out to retirement, but it’s harder and harder everyday to watch her treat people under her with so little respect.

I love this post. Obviously, employees understand what the name Boss Bitching Implies and yet he, a self-proclaimed manager, doesn’t get it. If he was one of mine, that would worry me!!!
Good and effective management requires great communication with staff. (S)He obviously has a weakness relating to the general communication of all employees due to his or hers own isms. This is evident in the claims (s)he made that idiot employees are posting on this site bearing the name Boss Bitching. Therefore, it has been determined that (s)he as a boss, more then likely fails to understand or relate to his or hers own employee communication. Thus, the bottom line in that organization is not at full potential.
He reminds me of a gentleman that worked for me a few years back. He was from the UK and was a stickler for the queens English. He went as far as correcting the grammar in email and sending it back to the original senders in my business. It was real intimidating to say the least for many employees!!! I fired his ass (sacked as he would say). Yes, he did make a mistake and corrected mine but that was not why I fired him. I fired him because his actions intimidated employees who were burdened with what he felt was proper etiquette in communication instead of being flexible and allow employees a comfortable freedom to convey their thoughts related to the business. That is were the real payout is!!!!! Ironically, he moved to Kyushu, Japan and opened an English school for Japanese students.

This is a perfect example of some good reasons not to hire some of these respondents.
As a business owner, I have hired those that claimed they invented the world,(so to speak) only to find out after the fact they have not even lived in the world. Believe it or not, some people will lie on their resume.
There is a very good reason that the first 3 months are considered as a probationary period where the dud employee can be fired for any reason at all. If all of the whiners are so good at what they do, quit your job, and take the plunge to be an owner yourselves. If you survive the first 5 years, count yourselves as successful. But to piss and moan that life is unfair or to "arm chair quarterback" your boss for their efforts to achieve when you just suckle the corporate teat makes you look foolish.
Some of the complaints listed on this site are very legitimate complaints, many are just drivel. If you expect above standard wages, try doing an above standard job, and not just the minimum required to keep your job. (now I just have to wonder, how many of these employee's complaining are being paid by their boss to be on this site?)

I think you get more flies with honey than with vinegar. If you let your staff know that they are doing a good job and respect them, then you are more likely to get better results. Employees need to feel like an integral part of a team. yea, you will get people who could give a crap and people who are out for themselves, but nonetheless, I think working WITH rather than AGAINST is better. Unfortunately, my boss does not hold with this sentiment. In fact, someone with a GED is her right hand while I hold a college degree. Many of the people (supervisors) where I work are threatened by a person with ability, drive, ingenuity, and a desire to do a good job b/c they feel the job they do really "matters" in the big scheme of things. In fact, if you do do a good job, rest assured you have just painted a neon target on your back for criticism and to get in lots of trouble for very insigificant things. Oh well, I now only manage 1 person but I think/know I am a good manager. Too bad my boss isnt.
