Gas Prices and the ass who bitches about them

We all hate the current high gas prices and my boss is no different. I drive a refridged truck for a living and one morning I got bitched as for letting the truck run for too long before loading it because it was 100 degrees out and 110 in the back of the truck. After that he tells me that if the recipient isn't home that we aren't going to be making return trips back out to their house anymore because of the cost of gas.

Later that day after I came back for my 2nd load he wants me to drive out the the other store and pick up 2 deliveries because the other driver cant seem to do it on his own. Normally this is a 15-20 min drive but we live in a beach town and it is now summer so it becomes a 30 to 45 min drive now not counting if i get stuck at a drawbridge or 2 along the way. I tried to explain that if he is trying to save gas then not sending me out to pick up 2 friggin deliveries and just wait for the other guy to get back and do the would save far more gas. This turned into a screaming match over the phone and me getting sent home. This also meant that now he had to come from the other store and make the rest of my deliveries which this whole time were sitting in a fully loaded truck running out back and the AC going full blast.

I hope it ran out of gas before he got there.
