What others think
narcissist neanderthal
I was an honest, loyal employee for 7 years despite making less money than my coworkers. I had endured cutting remarks, phantom job titles that resulted in .25 cent "raises" "That's $5 a week" I said. "Sorry" he said "It cuts into my weekend Keys' vacations." and tripled my workload when someone quit. Once, I had gotton up on a table to retrive something on a top shelf, with my coworkers watching so I wouldn't fall, he came running up with dollar bills in his hand to "tip me for my table dance" Everyone was horrified! Especially the guys. He did this to everybody, He would relish reducing people to tears. The name calling, lack of respect and general nastiness was about to come to a head; I hurt my back at home and he asked how it was doing, cautiously, I answered it was ok, "Good" he said "You are going to need your back so you can make money!" That was IT! I handed him my 2 weeks' notice and he said "You're fired." Last I heard he was a hopeless alcoholic. I was never so happy to get out of any job. Oh, and Farting Freddy? He did that too!
Too bad you left. A quick call to a local employment lawyer, and you mentioning the phrase “hostile work environment” would have been absolutely justified, and potentially lucrative.
