Snooper

I had a boss that would go through people's desks when they weren't there or even when they were. She would come up to my desk and just start picking up papers randomly from my desk and reading them. Or she would lean over my shoulder and read what I was writing.

It was very intrusive and she didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

I’ve have that sort of boss before as well. Why do they think it’s okay to go through your stuff? They don’t own you.

There’s a lot I’ll put up with at work, but invading my privacy is not one of them.

haha. i’ve had two diff. bosses at two diff. companies who did this. both of them were/are insecure, miserable, paranoid people who ironically keep all their personal things locked up (as if anyone cares). my suggestion: next time you leave your office, leave a post-it on your screen that says: please stop snooping. it makes you look pathetic.

Next time just surf porn and see what she says…

you’re at work, you should only have work related documents anyway – they belong to the company, your boss works for your company.

If they bust you doing your private paperwork/correspondence, you’re busted – GET OVER IT!

To the above poster, you must be a boss yourself.

I had a boss do that, I took everything personal home so he couldn’t f with it. He would leave notes on stuff trying to be funny so we knew he snooped around. He was what the Romans called “biggus dickus”.

anyone who says stop complaining to the above sotry or concept is obviously a person who either rummages through others’ belongings or someone who steals. This kind of infraction is NOT ok and just because you are an employee does NOT infer indentured servitude or lack of privacy or respect. Why can’t people just watch you go to the toilet then, if privacy isn’t to be respected at the workplace? Fools.

It is good sometime when boss go to his employee desk and talk about things, look at the magazine on his desk and say Hey you are the member of that mag too? i mean this is good building relationship between boss and his employee, but it is very nasty when the boss himslef invade privatcy without permission of the person that been invaded.

I think this aplly to anybody anyway, not just boss and employee

I’ve noticed that its usually female bosses that do that.. what say you?

Posted on August 11, 2006

If you are:
Male-leave some jock itch ointment in your drawer.
Female-leave something similar (maybe battery operated)

If you are brave enough, walk up while they are rummaging. If that embarassment doesn’t solve the problem, find another job.

omg that was awesome…I was crying I was laughing so hard! (battery operated comment) or maybe I just have some sick mind. Anyway, it is totally against regulation in any workplace for anyone to rummage through another person’s desk or belongings without suspicion that there has been a serious workplace violation. If someone were to rummage through my stuff at my workplace, I would be talking to either their superior, or some form of workers union representative.

What is mine, is my own, and no one else’s business.

Just sprinkle some itching powder on the papers you left on your desk, and then leave for lunch. That’ll fix the nosey bitch!!

i found my boss's boss sitting at my desk going through my email to see if i had sent an email she asked me to send out (which i had already sent her).

I have this problem with my boss as well. She will go into my office when I am not there, pull all of my paperwork out, and then leave everything in a big pile on my desk! Then an hour later she will want to know why I haven't gotten anything done! She does not realize that when she does this it takes me an hour or two to get things back to normal or else I can not find anything!
I have never had issues like these with any other boss. She micro-manages everything and then cant understand why things dont get done. It is very hard to do things with someone over your shoulder, telling you to do it this way or that way...blah blah blah, especially when she has no idea how to do your job!

Are you people that stupid? It isnt "your stuff". You work for those people and that is "their stuff". suck it up and deal with it because they own your ass during working hours. If you dont like then go work somewhere where you dont have to deal with bosses like a pig farm or something.
geez

To big boss. Why are you even here? People are using this site to vent about their bosses. Perhaps The Big boss- is the one that no one likes, so do yourself a favor to society. Quit!
