Total BITCH!

I worked for a boss that had slept with her boss to get to where she was at, but then wouldn't allow anyone to date or hire boy/girlfriends or spouses anywhere in the 800 person company. To top it off she later met someone online, started dating and got them hired in the company! Thts not the worst, she was also the biggest micro-manager ever. We were required to send her an email when we arrived and an email when we went home for the day, its like I was working at Mcdonlds, but I was on salary. She would also read every email and say how she thinks it should have been written. When ideas came up to improve a process it was always "why would do that this how we do things around here", no matter how good the idea was it was never implemented. She created a spreadheet to track everything including how many emails I received and sent. Oh yeah, she never gave promotions and the last year I was there no raises. She sucked!

“She sucked!” I take it you were trying to get a promotion?

hrrmm.. but you said “a boss that had slept with her boss to get to where she was at”—So I guess that’s why you didn’t get the promotion…..

...because she only sucked.

she’s not a bitch, but she’s a total fucking crap. She would earn more money at a peep show, put that in the subjection box

How much time did she waste managing the time and emails of salaried employees? I bet her own boss would love to hear about that. what a disaster. You should have written an anonymous note above her head…

If she is managing an 800 person company sucessfully, and managing to have people feel pressure about coming in late or leaving early, then I’d say she is doing a remarkable job.
She may noy be reading the emails but logging them to see whose coming in late. She would not be put in charge of a company that size unless she could get results. Souds like you have a lot of resentment for someone more sucessful than you.

Saying that as long as you're successful, it doesn't matter how you treat people or what they think of you misses the point. This kind of rationalizing shows how problems like this happen in the first place.

Climbing the ladder by using manipulation, deception and favoritism should absolutely be resented. I've worked for good companies and bad companies. The companies that truly succeed (Fortune Magazine's Best Places to Work) consistently beat their competition and create a work environment that is respectful to their employees.

The notion that abuse is a key to success is from the Middle Ages and 3rd World Countries.

Basic human rights states "you cannot deny a person for employment even if they are related to another employee". SUE THE BITCH!
